The Feast of Weeks occurs 50 days (Pentecost) after the Feast of First Fruits and
commemorates both the giving of the Torah at Mt Sinai in Exodus 20-34 and the events in Acts 2. We have a semi-traditional service that focuses on the manifestation of the Shekinah (Holy Spirit) at both Sinai at the giving of the Torah and the Temple in Acts 2. Following the service, we have a wonderful fellowship meal, traditionally a dairy feast -- people bring dishes made with cheese, milk, cream, etc. Ice cream and cheesecake are especially beloved for dessert!
